Directions to reach our place

To reach our place you can either take a taxi (round € 35 from airport) or take public transport.

Public transport

Take the train at the airport to Central Station.

At CS take Tram 4. Get off at ‘Stadhouderskade’ (near the Dutch Bank). Cross the big street heading south and after that take 2nd street to the left. Our place is 334 to the right. Use middle bell (if we don’t hear use right bell after one minut), or call +31623576692,

Nowadays you can also take the train + metro. Change train for subway at the first stop after the airport. (‘Zuid’), take the Subway (line 52) to Central Station and get out at station ‘De Pijp’. Upstairs you’ll end up in Ferdinand Bolstraat; one of the sidestreets is Govert flinckstraat. From here you can walk 10 minuts to our house (334). You can also follow the marketstreet (Albert Cuypstraat).

This is a faster track, you avoid Central Station (buzy!), but you have to walk 10 minutes.

If you come by car

From the Park&Ride at RAI you can also take tram 4 (heading north). You can unload your car in front of our house.

Good to know:

  1. We do not have any reception; we are totaly depended on your communication to be present when you arrive. Please let us know in time (a.s.a.p.) around what time you expect to arrive! We want to welcome you in person and hand you the keys. You may enter the room after four o’clock, but you can leave your luggage before that (same for leaving the house before 11 am)
  2. Money: We cannot withdraw from your creditcard in advance. You can pay upon arrival, cash or by bankkcard or creditcard. Unless you already payed the full amount to Airbnb.
  3. If you intend to visit the AnneFrank-house then make a reservation at least one month ahead! Without reservation waiting can last two to three hours! Website;
  4. Do not forget to buy your Amsterdam Citycard for free transportations en access to many museums and attractions
  5. Let us also know the nature of your company. This is for how we prepare the beds.  Are you a couple (one big blanket on the double bed) or 2 or three friends (each get his own blanket).?
  6. HeartHoliday apartments is located on the First and 2nd floor of our own house. We live on the ground floor. Students (who are very easy) are living on the top-floor. Sometimes we have other guests in other rooms. But it is not like an hotel. You will have an authentic Amsterdam house-experience. The other inhabitants of the house are well aware of your presence and will respect this.
  7. If you want we have a baby’s cot available
  8. The house has stairs which are considered as steep. No problem for a healthy person, but I did have guests who considered it as to heavy. The stairs are typical for Amsterdam. Only the hotels have elevators
  9. The apartment is suitable for three persons or a family of four (two kids). We ask you not to invite other people in the apartment without consulting us
  10. Although the area is near to the centre, it is not noisy. Sleeping at the back of the house is even quiet. But it is an early 20th century house; in the house noise spreads easily. So we hope you respect the quietness from 11 pm until early morning
  11. The apartment is professionaly cleaned after each stay. Cleaning can not change an old house into a new one. An old house also has the risk of mice. Please hide your foods when you are in the apartment
  12. We have two cats in our house! (they usually don’t enter the apartment, but lower the risk of mice dramatically)
  13. Last but not least: we have unlimited free Wifi; the wifi-code is in the apartment
